This agency offers translation, copywriting, transcription, and interpretation services. According to their website, they work in more than 200 languages.

Acute Translations have received positive ratings on the online translators' communities Translators Café and Proz from freelance translators who have worked with them. Positive translator ratings are a good sign that an agency is operating in a professional way and paying reasonable rates to their suppliers.

The Acute Translations website outlines an impressive seven-step quality assurance plan. They also emphasize their compliance with the DIN EN 15038 European Translation Industry Quality Standard; however, we did not find confirmation that they have received certification.

The Acute Translations website offers very little background information about the company and does not include a client list. The address and phone number published on their website are in the UK; the contact address they provide for translators on Translators Café is in Estonia.

Allingus Translation Services

Based in Turkey, this company specializes in translation services to and from Turkish. They can also provide interpretion through their international network of Turkish interpreters.

Allinguis's areas of subject-matter specialization include the medical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, environmental (water), and the defense sectors, as well as localization of online role-playing games. Their website also mentions that they work with a network of agencies in Europe and the U.S. in order to cover additional fields.

Allingus has received positive ratings from freelance translators on the translation communities Proz.com and Translators Café. This is a good sign since it suggests professional interaction with suppliers and fair payment practices.

Allingus is a member of the Turkish Association of Translation Companies.

On their website, Allingus publishes per word rates for translation between Turkish and 24 other languages. In our opinion, these rates look appropriate -- neither excessive nor suspiciously low.

They also specify that they will provide very small translations (under 100 words) to their clients for free. This is a very interesting benefit because many corporate translation services apply high minimum charges which make small translations extremely expensive.

Sample projects Allingus has completed include globalization of the TAV Airlines Holding corporate website; regular translations of TAV NewsPort Magazine; interpreting for Fortune 500 Magazine interviews; and technical translations for the construction of Antalya Hurma and Lara Wastewater Treatment Plant.
