Any Child Who Is Switched On...

Last month my son brought some school information about "Kindergarten Registration". The Spanish translation was wrong.
For example:

  • "Todos los se deben llenar el formulario y enviar a la escuela antes que el niño pueda comenzar la clase en la caída"

Doing a backtranslation in English this means: "All forms must be completed and returned to the school before the child can begin class in the drop"

Fall means drop but also autumn.

  • "Cualquier niño que sea cinco años encendido o antes de..."

Literally in English this means: "Any child who is five years old switched on or before..".

"on" was translated as switched on or turned on. In Spanish "encendido" also means on fire.

Obviously this translation was done only with a dictionary.
